The crew contract a virus originally meant to be used on the Cardassians by the Bajoran Resistance which causes them to speak gibberish. Kira must go and find the Bajoran scientist who developed the virus as it cripples the staff of the station. They race against time to find the cause of the sickness and a cure before people start to die.
